December 2012
Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons
Once again, we were asked to provide the New Year's Eve display at this highly acclaimed restaurant and hotel and it is always nice to receive favourable comments:

"A huge thank you to your crew for, yet again, another incredible display. The guests were overwhelmed last year and seemed to love them even more this year. They really were fantastic and I am sure you gave us an extra minute of display as well, so thank you very much."

As in November, December was also a very busy time for wedding celebrations and private party displays.

November 2012
5th November displays
This November was probably our busiest ever, with displays in many different places - from large scale public displays, such as Plymouth, Saffron Walden and Crowborough, to smaller displays for schools, rugby clubs and shopping centres.

The great majority of our November displays are for the same clients year in and year out. This is always very pleasing and proves our commitment to staging successful and visually entertaining displays, not only for free public events but also for the many displays that are held to raise funds.

Here are just a few clips from some of this year's November displays.

October 2012
Classical Brits - The Royal Albert Hall
For this prestigious annual event, we provided both pyrotechnics and effects. These included dry ice simulators, to create a low-lying blanket of 'mist' over the whole stage area; silver jets were fired as a punctuation cue. For the finale, we fired a considerable number of our aero cannons from the balcony to cover the auditorium/audience in streamers - a fitting end to a wonderful event.

September 2012
The Virgin Money Concert - Edinburgh
Pyro Vision are always delighted to provide this famous display, which marks the end of the Edinburgh Festival. We have been involved with this event for nearly 20 years. The Scottish Chamber Orchestra provides the live concert music. It always proves to be a challenge to design a display to live orchestral music and this year was no exception. Many months of planning, design and preparation proved worthwhile, judging by the many excellent reviews.

The Edinburgh Reporter gives more detailed information on the display, together with some great photos. In addition, the following shows a short video clip of the 2012 display.

July 2012
Sittingbourne Music Festival
Back again to Sittingbourne for this now well-established music festival. This year, the weather was good! Quite a restricted venue for fireworks but our careful planning and design led to a memorable display. The event was well attended, with a great audience enjoying the fireworks, which marked the end of the festival.

Music of the Night - Royal Citadel, Plymouth
This week-long series of concerts features songs and music from many popular West End shows and is staged in the Royal Citadel - home of 29 Royal Commando Regiment. We have been involved with this amazing series of concerts for many years. Bearing in mind the historic importance of the Royal Citadel, our selection of suitable material was very important at the design stage. As on past occasions, the fireworks were fired from various locations, including the roof, to create intense and very visual displays.

(Fireworks from approx. 09:00-11:30 minutes)

29 Royal Commando Regiment Royal Artillery
As this year was the 50th anniversary of the Gunners, we were also asked to stage a daylight display to add to their celebrations, the day after Music of the Night had finished.

Kingsbridge
As always, we were pleased to be back in Kingsbridge to provide the display for the start of Kingsbridge Fair Week. The display is fired from a barge, which is moored in the harbour, with the audience watching the display from various locations along the harbour wall and slipway. Judging from the feedback afterwards, our display did justice to the beautiful setting.

Mote Park - Maidstone
To celebrate the Olympic Torch passing through Maidstone, a live music concert was arranged to celebration the occasion. Our short, but very intense, display brought the day's festivities to an end and it proved a great success.

June 2012
Jubilee Displays
A busy month with various displays in different locations, staged to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The weather was not always kind but, as our fireworks are prepared beforehand, they are all weatherproofed, no matter what the elements throw at us! All credit to our team as we had no failures and all worked perfectly. The venues all had different requirements so very individual displays were designed to suit. Our displays for this celebration were in Essex, Surrey and Kent.

Maidstone - Whatman Park
The annual classical concert was appropriately named 'The Jubilee Concert' this year. To add to the festivities, as the orchestra played Land of Hope & Glory at the end of the concert, we provided a varied and entertaining display to suit the occasion.

The Shrewsbury Motor Home Show - Proms Night
Once again, we provided the display for the last night of this popular event - now one of the largest shows of its type in the UK. The display was fired to Land of Hope & Glory, their last number of the evening.

Burghley House Concert
Burghley House and its beautiful grounds provide the perfect backdrop for fireworks. Our display was to mark the end of the concert by a 'Queen' tribute band.

May 2012
Truckfest
We were back again at this large, well-known and well attended national event. The audience are in relative close proximity to the Arena, so, as always, the fireworks and pyro effects have to be carefully selected. The display was a great success and provided a very intense and entertaining display for the audience.

Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons
To be asked again to stage a display at Raymond Blanc's two star Michelin restaurant and hotel in Oxfordshire is a privilege. On this occasion, we provided a display for a wedding celebration weekend for one of their clients. We positioned the display in the grounds so that the bride and groom, together with their guests, could watch the large scale display from the lawned area just outside the restaurant. A display, relatively short in duration but with very intense and varied sequences of fireworks, creating changing layers of colour and shapes against the backdrop of a clear night sky.

L'Oreal Professional Colour Award
This event is held in the Great Room of the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London and is probably the most prestigious awards ceremony of its type. As the winners were announced, we fired a number of our aero cannons from around the balcony of the Great Room to cover the catwalk and the winners in long trails of metallic streamers to add to their celebrations!

Weddings, Private Events & Celebrations
From this time of year onwards, we find that these types of celebrations increase in number and this year was no exception. We stage displays at a number of different venues, some of which have restrictions such as 'quiet' displays. With our large choice of firework types, we successfully stage many individually designed displays of this type throughtout the year.

March 2012
Plymouth Life Centre - Opening Event
The Plymouth Life Centre is one of the largest facilities of its type in the South West. We were pleased to be asked to provide the pyrotechnic effects for the opening of the swimming pool and diving pool. The facilities are impressive and two overseas teams were based here for training prior to the Olympics.

For the opening, we fired arena type coloured comets and coloured mines, fired in rapid sequences as divers dived into the pool from different heights off the diving boards. This provided a spectacular visual backdrop to the divers.

January 2012
VisitScotland: Year Of Creative Scotland 2012
The latest VisitScotland TV advert includes our famous "waterfall" cascading down the steep rock face of Edinburgh Castle during the annual End of Festival fireworks show (23 seconds in).

December 2011
New Years Eve
This New Years Eve we staged displays for different events and functions including weddings / parties. We were also delighted to be asked back to Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons restaurant and hotel in Oxfordshire to provide a display at Midnight for their New Years Gala Dinner.

Despite the changing and at times rather wet weather all went well and we think the compliments received - as below, made all our planning worthwhile, most importantly very happy clients.

I wanted to write and thank you for such a wonderful firework display on Saturday evening for our New Years Gal Dinner. I spoke with guests as they left and it sounds as if the firework display will stick with them - until next year at least! The organisation and professionalism of Tony and the team was appreciated so much and the timing of the fireworks being set- off was spot on. This was crucial as we had 100 guests patiently waiting on the terrace as the piper played and with the fireworks being set off so accurately it just added to the magic of the evening! We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Thank you again.
Hannah (Le Manoir)

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful fireworks display you arranged for our wedding. We had bagpipes and fireworks at midnight and it was all just magical! The fireworks for me were one of the highlights of the day and I know our friends and family's really enjoyed the display, particularly the red heart at the end which made everyone sigh! Thank you to you and your team for helping make the day so memorable and magical.

October/November 2011
The 2011 "November" season proved to be probably our busiest ever with displays in many different areas of the country including for example Plymouth and Saffron Walden. The displays varied considerably both in size and budget, but every display is equally important to us and the same care and attention is applied to all displays, from the design to the load out after the display.

An increasing number of these displays are choreographed to music; the tracks were varied - from classical to very current chart hits. Our expertise in choreographed displays is we believe second to none. Our choreographed displays are just that and not fireworks with music being played as noted in some of the comments received after these displays.

By far the great majority of our displays are from clients for whom we have provided displays for over many years. It is always rewarding to have clients book you again for their event again the following year. A great number of these have already been re booked for 2012.

Some of the thank you correspondences received:

A huge well done for tonight's display, plot was brilliant and timing absolutely spot on. Great crowd reactions. Many, many thanks. Some great effects and a good ending. Please pass on my thanks to Keith and all the guys.

As I said to you on the telephone last week, the Pyro Vision display on the 4th was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed the whole show and is keen to use Pyro Vision again. Thank you very much and please pass on my thanks to Tony and his crew on the day who did an excellent job. The Parents Association would like to book Pyro Vision to provide their display next year...

Also again to thank you for the sensational display you put on on Saturday night! I will let you know about the date for next year's Fireworks in due course.

I just wanted to thank you once again for a tremendous firework display on Saturday night. What a talented team! The way the fireworks were put together with the music was superb. An incredible sight and sound experience. We actually had emails thanking the Council for putting on the event! As you can imagine this rarely happens...

I shall certainly inform the "new committee" of the fantastic display in 2011, which they will not be able to follow! Having never organised such an event, my mind was certainly put at rest working with you and your team, so I hope we have a long relationship doing yet more great displays. Thanks again for everything.

September 2011
Mote Park, Maidstone
To finish the annual Mela weekend in Mote Park Pyrovision staged a short and intense display to mark the end of this very popular event.

Queen Mary II - Queen Elizabeth
To celebrate the inaugural visits to Liverpool of both the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary II in different weeks we were asked to provide intense and spectacular displays for each ship as they left the City of Liverpool. Both displays were fired from a barge positioned in the dock area so that both the guests on board and the many thousands of people watching these luxury ocean liners departed.

August 2011
Pop Party in the Park - Mercury, Holkham Hall, Norfolk
At this beautiful venue we provided a display at the end of Mercury - one of the best known and authentic Queen Tribute bands, whilst the audience sang along to 'We are the Champions' our display added to the atmosphere as fireworks lit up the night sky.

July 2011
Kingsbridge Fair Week, Devon
Once again we were delighted to be asked back and stage the annual display in the beautiful and picturesque setting of Kingsbridge Harbour. The display celebrates the start of this long established annual event. The display is fired from a barge moored in the harbour estuary and was very well received by the large audience who view the display from the roads and paths along the harbour.

The Shrewsbury Motor Home Show
The first time we have been asked to stage a display at this well known event. A well received and appreciated display on the last night of the show. So much so, that we have been asked to provide the display again in 2012.

June 2011
Queens College Cambridge May Ball
We were once again delighted to provide a display for this well known Bi Annual event at Queens College. A relatively short, sharp and intense display was staged to rival the other traditional May Balls in Cambridge.

L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards - London
In addition to providing firework displays Pyrovision also provide a range of indoor special effects. Again we were pleased to be asked back to provide various effects for the 2011 L'Oreal Colour Awards ceremony held in the Great Room of London's Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane. This year we provided CO2 head jets, Dry Ice/Low smoke simulators which were used at various points throughout the evening and Streamer Cannons fired at the end of the evening. The streamer cannons are shown in this video clip.

May 2011
Mote Park, Maidstone
For the first time we were asked to provide the fireworks for the annual 'Proms in the Park' concert. A fireworks display choreographed to Land of Hope & Glory played live by the orchestra provided a much appreciated and spectacular ending to the evening's concert.

Weddings - Private Parties - Celebrations - Upcoming displays
The past couple of months have been quite busy for us with displays for different types of private celebrations in various locations and venues. These have varied in scale and budget from relatively small family parties to wedding celebrations in many different locations - some larger, some smaller. However we realise that no matter the budget these occasions are very important to our clients and the same attention to detail and the individual design of each display is also paramount to us.

Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons display
A first for us was to stage a display at Raymond Blanc's two Michelin star Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons restaurant and hotel in Oxfordshire. This was a display set in the grounds as part of a weekend wedding celebration. The display was relatively short - circa 5 minutes but our brief was to produce an intense and spectacular display to enthral the evening guests, this was accomplished with a very carefully designed display whilst being very visual and busy it included many of the more unusual effects incorporated into pre programmed sequences, each being totally different but flowing smoothly into the next. The result was very rewarding with the client emailing us the next day to show his and his guests appreciation for a great show.

P & O Adonia Naming Ceremony, Southampton
Once again we were back in Southampton to provide both onboard effects during the naming ceremony and a large scale - barge based fireworks display in the evening. Dame Shirley Bassey was the Godmother for this latest superb addition to the P & O fleet of cruise liners. The ceremony was accompanied by large CO2 Confetti Blowers using silver Mylar confetti - a special type of reflective surfaced confetti, single shot Aero Cannons with streamers and various pyrotechnic effects. All were fired at the same time as the traditional bottle smash moment creating a very celebratory atmosphere on board. Later in the evening we fired a 10 minute barge based display choreographed to a medley of some of Dame Shirley Bassey's most well known songs including Goldfinger, Lets get this party started, Diamonds are forever and This is my life. A beautiful and visual display which was truly appreciated by all present.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show
We were naturally very pleased to once again be asked to provide the display for this year's event. The display was staged on the last night of the week long Horse Show and Tattoo. The display was set up and fired from a position very close to Windsor Castle in the private grounds of the Great Park. The VIP's and audience viewed the display from the arena. Due to the proximity of both the castle & bearing in mind that the flight path for Heathrow was nearly overhead we were restricted on calibre sizes, also the audiences view was obstructed by the one of the grandstand seating areas! This resulted in very careful planning and design of the display to ensure that all present could view the display. The 10 minute display was choreographed to a varied selection of music befitting Royal Patronage.

April 2011
Truckfest, Peterborough Showground
The display for this nationally well known annual event is always a challenge given the very restricted area available both for the firing site and the relative close proximity of the audience. By the very careful selection of material a very varied and visually entertaining display was achieved and the display was very well received. This is a good example of a great smaller scale display achieved within a tight budget but leaving everyone present on the day very entertained, a great opening to the festival.
